Black Lounge Film Series takes an introspective look at the work of Nigerian filmmaker and photographer, Andrew Dosunmu on Thursday, August 2nd at Pérez Art Museum Miami, located at 1103 Biscayne Blvd, Miami, FL 33132. The discussion will be moderated by the writer of The African Game and former Editor-in-Chief of Fader Magazine, Knox Robinson. Dosunmu will share his collaboration with Academy Award-nominated, cinematographer Bradford Young (Relentless City, Mother of George, and Where is Kyra?), and provide a perspective on fútbol through his involvement with the Puma photography book The African Game, 2006, and the Nike film This is Naija: A Nigerian Football Story, 2018. Having worked with artists such as A$AP Rocky, Erykah Badu, and Common, to the designer Yves Saint Laurent, Dosunmu’s creative history will make for an engaging evening.
Doors open at 6pm. The conversation begins promptly at 7pm. This event is FREE & Open to the public.
