In collaboration with FLL Fashion Week 2020, SSD interviews a special selection of featured designers expected to showcase during their runway shows. Check out this up close and personal interview with Couture and RTW Designer, Sharon Osp: www.sharonosp.com.
SSD: What designer have been a great influence on your style and vision for your fashion house?
SO: Elie Saab & Zuhair Murad
SSD: What inspires you as a fashion designer?
SO: What I see, what I feel, what I touch. I don’t think, I feel everything. I’m inspired by the necessity of seeing a woman’s silhouette with the art that all of my senses perceive when capturing it in each design.
SSD: 3 Many Haute Couture designers have branched out to also design Ready to Wear to drive sales. What segment have been most beneficial to your business?
SO: Since I started designing, I always had a line of inspiration based on glamorous pieces, but the experience in Miami has led me to add new design lines to my collection, being Ready To Wear (RTW) the favorite among my followers in Miami culture…
I think that bringing my design style to an RTW collection has been very well received by my followers. It’s certainly very beneficial for designers, and anyone who wears them on any occasion, which makes it a timely spontaneous, timely fashionable, timely Ready To Wear collection…
SSD: For A/W 2020, what can we expect in for Couture and Ready to Wear Pieces?
SO: Sharon Osp does not follow the trend, but we do believe that the planning in each design is the secret to make the collection impact at launch, so for A/W 2020 the defined silhouettes, puffed sleeves and a mix of textures and reliefs is a small sneak peek of what will be prepared behind the scenes.
SSD: What theme behind the looks for your collection this season?
SO: Ethereal: inspired by the magical and sublime, focusing on leaving people speechless
