There’s more, though. Bal Harbour Shops is also bringing a couple of flower mannequins they made themselves. One’s a tribute to Elsa Schiaparelli, the big-deal fashion icon. The other’s got tenor from Yayoi Kusama, the artist famous for absurd dots and extremely bright colors. These special pieces are going to make the festival even better.
I was able to take photos of a few of the 25 displays. The colorful and artistic collages were all unique. And one thing I did notice is that the mannequins were diverse in shade and hair types. The day ended with two cocktail parties on the 1st and 2nd Level. Delicious hors oeuvres, desserts and cocktails were available at every corner.
